Thanksgiving Dinner Food Basket Donation to The Open Door Food Pantry – November 2021

During the Thanksgiving season we at Diller Law decided to come together with the community to donate money to The Open Door food pantry in Gloucester and Ipswich!

To help contribute to the amount of money we donated, we asked that our social media followers interact with our posts and with each interaction we increased the amount of money we donated. The money donated went directly towards The Open Door Thanksgiving baskets that they put together and distributed to families and individuals who needed a little extra help setting the table for Thanksgiving this year.

Honoring our Veteran Heroes Restaurant gift card Giveaway – October/November 2021

This November we wanted to show our respect and appreciation for the Veterans in our community by giving away five (5) $150 gift cards to Davio’s Northern Italian Restaurant.

We asked for people to nominate veterans and we then highlighted them on our social media pages and entered them into our raffle drawing. This was a small way we were able to thank our Veterans for their heroic service and treat them to a nice meal!

Child Passenger Safety Awareness Car Seat Giveaway – September 2021

September is Child Passenger Safety Awareness month, so we partnered with Tadpole Shop in Boston to give away an UPPAbaby infant car seat!

All throughout the month we shared safety tips on our social media to help educate the community on how to keep babies, infants and children safe in the car. At the end of the month we gave away the car seat which was our way of contributing to the safety of a child in our community!

Work Hard Play Hard Red Sox Tickets & Dinner Giveaway – June 2021

In June we focused on promoting and educating our community on Workplace safety. As a way of recognizing how hard people in our community work, we wanted to help someone “play hard” too by enjoying two (2) Red Sox tickets and a $150 Visa giftcard to get dinner before or after the game.

Bicycle Safety Month Bicycle Giveaway – May 2021

May is Bicycle Safety Month so we teamed up with Landry’s Bicycles in Newton to promote bicycle safety and give away five prizes; one (1) brand new Trek bicycle, three (3) Bontrager helmets and one (1) flat fix kit. This was our way to help contribute to bicycle safety within our community!

Teacher Appreciation Amazon Gift Card Giveaway – May 2021

We know how hard teachers in our community work, so in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week in May, we gave away two (2) $100 and six (6) $50 Amazon giftcards that deserving teachers could use to purchase things for their classroom or to treat themselves.

Feeding Families – January 2021

Earlier this month, we launched a second wave of our #feedingfamilies campaign that we started last April. This time, we accepted nominations of frontline workers to match up with local restaurants. We delivered meals during the first week of February both to support the struggling restaurant industry and to recognize those heroic people who continue to answer the call for our community since the Pandemic.

The DILLER LAW Holiday Giveaway Contest was provided to help Massachusetts individuals purchase gifts for their families. We gave away 8 $100 Amazon gift cards to brighten this holiday season.

Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway – November 2020

Thanksgiving is a time to focus on family and gratitude, not worry about finances. Due to COVID-19, planning for Thanksgiving is complicated by many levels of uncertainty – not only how to safely get the family together to celebrate, but how to afford the food to put on the table.

COVID continues to impact families in many ways. Between loss of income, job instability, and schools requiring remote learning, many families are struggling to make ends meet.

This November, we were grateful to be in the position to be able to help families in need purchase a Thanksgiving dinner. We gave away Six (6) $150 Market Basket gift cards to go towards a Thanksgiving dinner for Massachusetts families.

Child Car Seat Giveaway – September 2020

Road injuries are the leading cause of death for children in the US. A car seat can reduce the risk of infant fatality by 71% in a car accident if used appropriately; however, over half of child safety seats are not properly installed. We held a giveaway where one lucky winner was selected to win a Clek Foonf Convertible Car Seat from Tadpole Boston. See the video below for a demonstration on how to install a child car seat.

 

Back-to-School Teacher Appreciation Giveaway – September 2020

In honor of back-to-school 2020, we gave away 1 pair of AirPods Pro, 10 $100 Gift Cards to Teachers Pay Teachers or Amazon, and 10 Smile Masks to Massachusetts teachers.

The grand prize winner, Meghan Callahan, is a teacher in the Ayer Shirley Regional School District. She used her gift card to buy lesson plans from others on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Chrome Book Cart Giveaway – August 2020

Diller Law teamed up with the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers and Sullivan and Sullivan to give 30 Chrome Books and a Chrome Book docking station to the City of Lowell for the 2020 school year. In these unprecedented times, every child deserves access to the tools that enable an education. We are excited to help our local schools during this challenging time.

Bicycle Safety Awareness Month Giveaway – June 2020

In June, we partnered with Landry’s Bicycles for Bicycle Safety Awareness Month. We gave away six helmets and a bicycle to our grand prize winner.

Philip is an employee of UPS and bikes 18 miles roundtrip every day to work. Because Philip commutes year-round, the tar of the tires gets very beaten up. When Philip saw the contest, he knew his odds of winning were low, but he really was in need of a new bicycle and decided to enter. Winning our giveaway contest helped Philip ease the burden of needing to figure out his transportation for the coming years. Congratulations Philip!

I Love Boston Sports T-Shirt Giveaway – May 2020

Back in May, we teamed up with Mahlon (Marlo) Williams of I Love Boston Sports for an episode of The Hero’s Call (see here) In an effort to support the initiative to keep frontline workers safe, we did a t-shirt giveaway and all proceeds from these shirts funded medical grade masks for frontline workers.

Feeding Families – April and May 2020

In April and May, we matched up local restaurants with families that needed a boost during the quarantine and we delivered much needed meals. During that time, many restaurants closed suddenly and many families fell on hard times.

We had meals delivered to a nurse and her family suffering from COVID-19, three generations of women quarantined together in an apartment, the family of a doctor on the front line, two ICU doctors, a single mother and her 3 daughters, and 2 other families.

We also fed the staff of a nursing home hit hard by COVID-19 and a team of nurses at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
