David Mehan received a B.A. from Fairfield University in 2005 and earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2009, graduating magna cum laude. During his time at Suffolk, David earned numerous recognitions and several awards for scholastic achievement in the field of law.

Selected Recent Cases
Judgment for pedestrian injured in motorized wheelchair
Attorney Mehan obtained a judgment against a motorist who struck a disabled man crossing the street in his motorized wheelchair. The plaintiff suffered significant injuries, including a fractured femur requiring surgery.
Award for pedestrian injured by motorist
Attorney Mehan represented a high-ranking military veteran who suffered a severe shoulder fracture requiring surgery when a pickup truck struck the plaintiff after plaintiff stepped off a median into a section of the roadway away from the crosswalk. Even though defendant did not see plaintiff step off the curb, defendant motorist contested liability. The parties agreed to arbitrate the case and DILLER LAW, P.C. obtained a significant award against the motorist for the car crash.
Jury Verdict in fall on unsafe property
Attorney Mehan worked as co-counsel for a premises liability claim on behalf of a real estate agent against the owner of a real estate agency who left open and unguarded an unsafe trap door in the back office’s floor. DILLER LAW, P.C. represented the real estate agent who fell through the unguarded hole in the floor and suffered multiple injuries over his body including, most significantly, a shoulder injury requiring surgery. The defendants contested liability and alleged comparative fault against the plaintiff. Attorney Mehan acted as second chair to Attorney Diller during trial, and together they secured a jury verdict on behalf of the plaintiff, real estate agent injured in the fall through the unguarded opening in the floor.
Passenger injured in high-speed motor vehicle collision
Attorney Mehan brought a claim on behalf of a passenger injured in a serious, high-speed motor vehicle collision involving two other vehicles alleged to be the result of a “drag race.” Attorney Mehan successfully settled the case at mediation before filing any lawsuit.
Settlement for woman injured in slip & fall
Attorney Mehan represented a woman who was injured following a slip and fall on a wet floor in a Tedeschi store. Attorney Mehan alleged the store was liable for failing to provide adequate warnings and/or safety measures in the vicinity of a recently mopped aisle. The defendant settled the woman’s case shortly after Attorney Mehan filed the lawsuit.
Woman injured by dog bite
Attorney Mehan brought a claim against a dog owner after the owner’s dog viciously bit a young woman’s thigh when she went to greet the dog. Attorney Mehan alleged “strict liability” against the dog owner and reached favorable settlement with the dog owner’s insurance company.
